Our school has a partnership with a school in Latvia. In spring we heard about a letter friendship with those students. Everybody wrote a letter to one person, where we talked about ourselves and our country. Then our school sent the letters to Latvia and the Latvian students sent them back. We (Elina and Paula) wrote to the girls Eva and Dash. We wrote back and forth a couple of times and it was really nice to get to know people from a different country. We were really excited, when we got their answers back. Unfortunately, not all of our pen pals were able to come for a visit, but we met ten chosen students from Latvia in Austria. They all lived in host families. I ( Paula) and my mum offered Axienia to stay at our house. It was very nice to be a host and such a nice experience. But also it was exhausting, at the end of the week I was very tired. In May our 8th grade students flew to Latvia to meet the students again. I hope, that I will be able to meet Axienia too, someday.
